Setting DNS for Mac


If you have MAC TCP:

  1. On the Apple Menu, Select "Control Panels"
  2. Select "MacTCP"
  3. Click the "More" button
  4. Replace the Name Server entries in the lower right corner of the window the three IP addresses shown below. Important: In the "Domain" column on lines 1, 2 and 3, type a period. If you do not do this you will get a "Socket Error".

          
    • . 209.56.110.10
    • . 209.56.110.2
    • . 165.206.53.253
  5. Click "OK" to save the new settings.
  6. Restart your computer.



If you have TCP/IP:

  1. On the Apple Menu, Select "Control Panels"
  2. Select "TCPIP"
  3. Remove the "Name Server addr." entries and replace them with the ones listed below in the order shown.
    • 209.56.110.10
    • 209.56.110.2
    • 165.206.53.253
  4. Save the new settings and restart your computer.
