Iowa’s Area Education Agencies in partnership with the Iowa Department of Education have created Iowa Dyslexia Resources, a website designed to help families and educators learn more about dyslexia.


Professional Development

The Grant Wood AEA Professional Development Program offers classes for licensure renewal purposes or to stay current in your field.



Providing leadership services that assist with the recruitment, induction, retention, and professional development of educational leaders.


Media Center

The Media Center at Grant Wood AEA contains collections in both print and digital formats that support instructional excellence and learning opportunities for all students.


Creative Services

Creative Services has four components that support teaching and learning: Printing, Graphic Design, the Teacher Work Center, and Photocopier Support.

School-Community Planning

Providing support for School Improvement processes and communication with families and communities.

School Technology

Assistance with technology planning and training, cooperative purchasing of equipment and software, networking, integration with curriculum and instruction, duplication services, distance learning, and technology funding. This includes assistive technology services and supports.


Management Services

Support and interim management of school administrative functions, particularly with school planning, legal issues, recruitment, communication, and business operations.

Special Education

Specialized services for children and students with diverse learning needs, including identification, diagnosis, planning and therapies for those with disabilities. Children from birth to age 21 are included.
