iPad Update

It was announced at the All Agency meeting in August that iPads would be provided for agency staff to support student learning.  We are pleased to announce that the iPads have arrived, and plans are being made for a systematic roll-out.  Staff in the following job categories will each receive one at this time:  Curriculum and School Improvement Consultants, Adaptive PE, Autism Consultants and Paras, Special Ed Consultants, Special Ed Specialists, Itinerant Preschool Teachers, Itinerant Teachers, OTs, Parent Child Educators, PTs, COTAs, School Psychologists, School Social Workers, SLPs and SLP Paras, Off-Site Teachers, CART Service Providers, PEP, Technology Consultants, and Managers.

Information will be provided at upcoming Region and Discipline meetings explaining how these will be distributed.  At that time, training will be provided along with information regarding  App management, expectations for use,  data usage collection, access to resources, and additional professional development opportunities.

A new Tech Consultant has been hired to provide additional support to this exciting and extensive project.  An email communication will be coming soon to provide a link to a Google site that will have detailed information about the rollout. Questions at this time can be directed to Lisa Fry, Programs/ Services Administrator for Media and Technology (lfry@gwaea.org) or Stacy Behmer, Coordinator for Digital Learning (sbehmer@gwaea.org.)
