Flexible Benefits Plan Update for 2011

Grant Wood AEA is pleased to announce ASI will be the new service provider for the Agency’s Flexible Benefits Plan beginning January 1, 2011!

The Staff Distribution Center has iPads available for check out.  They may be checked out for 20 days, and each iPad is loaded with the following applications:

Waypoint Food Pantry

Waypoint relies 100% on community donations to provide food, toiletries and basic needs to women, children and families in need.  Our shelves are getting empty and we need your help!  Our current top needs include:

Boxed meals with meat
Canned meat
Stews with meat
Spaghetti and Sauce
Diapers (size 4 - 6)
Deodorant

 

Shampoo / Conditioner
Laundry Soap
Baby Wash
Baby Lotion
African American Hair Products

Donations may be dropped off at the main Waypoint building, 318 5th St SE, Cedar Rapids, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information, call 319-365-1458 or visit www.waypointservices.org.


Lecture series continues at Cedar Rapids Museum of Art

The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA) continues with its series of lectures in conjunction with the current exhibition, "China: Insights." The next lecture is scheduled for Thursday, November 18, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, 410 Third Ave SE.

The featured presenter will be David Arkush, Professor, History, University of Iow speaking on “Chinese Village Operas and Peasant Values.”

Chair Massages

Terri Nicol, LMT, will provide chair massages on Thursday, Nov. 18, 9:20 a.m. - 1:20 p.m., in the Jones Conference Room, Sixth St. Facility. The chair massages are 15 minutes long and cost $10. E-mail Stacy Murphy at stmurphy@gwaea.org to schedule an appointment time.


Wanted: Pink Yoplait yogurt lids

Stacy Murphy, IMS operator, is collecting pink Yoplait yogurt lids to support the annual "Save Lids to Save Lives" drive for breast cancer research. A collection container will be available in the break room of the Sixth St. facility. Staff may also send the labels to Stacy or contact her at ext. 6888.
