What if... Innovation is everyone's job at Grant Wood AEA

As part of the LOFT process, we learned that staff was interested in the opportunities to create teams who are presented with challenging work, to teach and learn from colleagues, to innovate, and are able to see the impact of their work.

A subcommittee emerged to look specifically at how we can create integrated teams to advance learning. That team discovered that there were many opportunities within the agency for continuous learning to occur, but that the agency did not have a well defined process to build capacity for creativity and innovation to occur at a grassroots level.

This led to a question posed by members of the Grant Wood AEA staff: "What if innovation is everyone's job at Grant Wood AEA?" How do you create opportunities to innovate? Share your ideas as part of the "What if" Innovation blog as part of the GWAEA Staff website.

Request to add an app to the order form.

For those of you who did not take advantage of the initial agency app order you may fill out a request. We need to have the order form completed by Wednesday, February 22, 2012 so we may make the purchases and distribute your agency iTunes account and redeem codes.

We know you don’t have ALL the information about the apps we have links to reviews and have only included apps on the form that have been recommended by agency staff and you may stop by iPad central and play with the apps that are loaded on a device there. We have two tiers of apps you may select from, prior to placing your order please read about the two tiers and the differences on the GWAEA iPad Site. App of the Week

This week’s App of the Week comes from Julie King. She recommends that you take a look at Awesome Note HD. Awesome Note HD is a good note taking, organization, & calendar app. It allows you to sync documents with Google Docs, Evernote, and transfer notes from one Awesome Note account to another person's via Bluetooth. Go check it out!

If you would like to submit a review for App of the Week, please send it to We are hearing about lots of great uses for iPad apps, and we know you are sharing them in discipline and region meetings, so why not earn yourself a free app and write one for our site. All published app reviews will be rewarded with a code from the Tier 1 app list.

How Transfer Photos and Videos from the iPad to Dropbox
Did you know that you can wirelessly transfer all your photos and videos from the iPad to Dropbox, right from within your iPad's Dropbox app? Well you can! So, if you don't have the PhotoSync app, and you want to get some of those big media files off your device and on to your computer, this could be just what you are looking for. Here's how to do it.
