GWAEA Summer Van Delivery Begins on June 11

Regular delivery of materials from Grant Wood AEA will end on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Summer delivery will begin on Monday, June 11.  Delivery is every other week in the summer.  The GWAEA Southern Facility receives summer delivery on Tuesday every week.  A summer delivery schedule is attached and can be found at http://www.aea10.k12.ia.us/media/VanDelivery.html

Regular delivery will resume on Monday, August 13, 2012.

A special note on student records. If you work with district staff who are responsible for sending student records, please encourage them to send this important and sensitive information through the US Mail to insure prompt delivery.  Many buildings do not receive delivery during the summer and it is important that records get to the right spot in a timely manner.

For questions on summer van delivery, contact Kim Novotny or Hope Runge in the Media Center.

We will be offering workshops for AEA staff only this summer on June 18th and June 22nd. There will be two sessions each day. See the professional development site to sign up.

ipad

This summer we will be preparing more iPad professional development opportunities for our staff. We need to know what your wants and needs are as we prepare these sessions. Please take 5 minutes to fill out an GWAEA Staff iPad PD Needs Assessment, so we can try to address your specific needs.

Final App Order of the Year
We are opening the Agency iPad App Order one more time this year.  There are 3 different kinds of people who could be ordering apps, read carefully, so you know who you are and how many apps you may order at this time. We will be placing another order when people return in August. If you don’t know how many apps you have previously ordered you may go to Google Docs and search for your doc with iPad Redeem Codes and that will tell you how many and what apps you have already been given. NO APP ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE DATA COLLECTION SURVEY.   You need to be logged into your Agency Google Account to access these surveys.

1. If you have completed the data collection survey and have previously ordered 10 apps then you may order 3 additional apps.
2. If you have completed the data collection survey and have previously ordered fewer than 10 apps then you may order 5 additional apps.
3. If you have completed the data collection survey and have not previously ordered any apps you may order up to 10. (You will need to attend a session to activate your Agency Apple ID and get your codes for the first time)

Orders are due Friday, May 25, 2012 at 4pm. No exceptions! May Agency App Order
