TransformED. Education. With a future.

TransformED is a new initiative launched on May 19 by SourceMedia Group (formerly Gazette Communications).

A goal of the new initiative is to create a community conversation focusing on the importance of educational transformation.

The initiative began with the launch of a new website and a five-minute video. Trace Pickering, GWAEA coordinator of innovation/organizational effectiveness, appears in the video. Trace explained that the video and website hopes to create a community conversation on the critical need for educational transformation.

"The TransformED site begins with a five-minute video that talks about the need for transformative change to the educational system and how we deliver learning to students. This site hopes to become a central focal point for discussion, debate, and action around education in the Corridor."

To learn more, visit TransformED.

Applications available for 2011-2012 Contemporary School Leadership Program

csl

We are pleased to announce the 15th year of Contemporary School Leadership is set for the 2011-2012 school year. Despite economic challenges, CSL remains a strong and viable option for schools to develop and equip leaders throughout their organizations to both understand the effects of transformational change in education and other industries and how to leverage local resources and expertise to effectively position and advance schools in their efforts to create the Next Generation of schooling. CSL provides educators with the opportunity to spend six full days with Dr. Susan Leddick – one of the most respected and admired national leaders in educational design and transformation, as well as other educational leaders to engage and be immersed in learning about how to design their classroom and schools to maximize learning, improvement, and student learning. CSL consistently produces teachers and administrators ready and able to effectively engage in and lead change and improvement efforts in their schools.

When thinking about how to effectively deploy resources for maximum impact, CSL is a product that consistently delivers a strong value for our schools. We look forward to your participation by sending an individual or team to this cost effective, high-impact opportunity!

implementation of social skills programming.
