Policy Notification Required

Remember, starting as of Monday, August 9, all staff will find a new screen when they first use the agency’s on-line leave/calendar Website. The screen will provide links to each of the agency’s board policies and administrative regulations related to staff computer use.
Please be sure to click on each of the links and read the policies and regulations. Then click on the box indicating that you have read them. Once you have indicated that you have read the policies, this review form should not appear again when you access your leave and calendar screen. We believe it’s important that all staff members are aware of the restrictions and expectations related to use of agency-provided computers. Thanks!

American Red Cross Disaster Relief

As of Monday, July 26, the Red Cross had provided approximately 800 meals and snacks and 1,000 bottles of water as well as clean up kits to residents in Buchanan, Delaware and Jones counties affected by flooding.

Former Grant Wood AEA Technology Consultant Bob Furino's home was affected by the flooding at Lake Delhi.
Readiness is also a big part of disaster relief. The Red Cross already has pre-positioned equipment and materials near areas that could be hit by hurricanes. In addition, the Red Cross frequently moves supplies and people closer to an area threatened by a potential large disaster so they can be ready to respond quickly. These preparations cost money, and those funds have to be available long before a storm strikes.
People who want to make a contribution to disaster response can visit, call 1-800-REDCROSS to support American Red Cross Disaster Response or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a donation. Contributions may also be sent to your local Grant Wood Area Chapter, 6300 Rockwell Dr NE, Cedar Rapids or to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013
