New Post to GWAEA Executive Blog

A new post from Lisa Wilson has been added to the Grant Wood AEA executive cabinet blog sharing how the AEA embeds continuous learning opportunities into our daily work. One example is the recent Grant Wood AEA Organizational Leadership graduation as four staff members completed the two year training program and celebrated their learning with graduation presentations.

While the Grant Wood AEA executive cabinet regularly drops into discipline groups and regional staff meetings, it can be hard to visit with our staff who are itinerant or are otherwise out supporting our schools. If you follow the agency's new blog, you can read updates from our executive cabinet no matter where you work.

springcleaning

Now's The Time!

It’s time for a little spring cleaning! Our agency is preparing for a refresh, and we have drafted guidelines to aid staff with this process. Staff should reference these tools to ensure consistency with what we discard/recycle, and how to organize our materials going forward.

Timeline for Cleaning

May - Continue to purge excess files and materials. Coralville office continues to pack.

June - June 12th is the last day of packing for Coralville staff. Coralville office furniture will move in/set up through the week of June 22nd - June 30th.

Any loose or boxed items that are unmarked and stacked or stowed in any location other than inside a filing or storage cabinet in each Agency facility after June 15th will be removed from the facility and discarded.

iPad Feedback Needed

We would still like some feedback as we plan for the future. Please take five minutes to complete a short survey to provide information on apps, usage and future professional development planning. The survey can be found on our GWAEA iPad site. You must be logged into your GWAEA Google Account to complete the survey.

Departing Staff Technology Turn In

As you prepare to leave the agency, equipment needs to be turned into different people throughout the agency. Please click on this link and make a copy of this doc (you will need to login with your agency email) to see what needs to be turned in and to whom. Items needing to be turned in may include: computer, iPad, keys, ID, etc. Please print a hard copy if you would like to check off what has been turned in. Thank you for taking care of this prior to your departure. Have a wonderful summer! Here is a view only copy of the  document.

Thank You

A very sincere thank you to all Grant Wood AEA employees for the beautiful cards and kind words sent to me in memory of my mother. Many of you may remember my frequent summer travels to visit my mother in Spokane, Washington. I will miss those visits ... Mom's are always Mom.

I was overwhelmed with your kindness and appreciated your caring thoughts.
Thanks again for thinking of me.
