Details for the All Agency Meeting - Aug. 14, Solon High School

Grant Wood AEA logo

Wednesday, Aug. 14 will be our official launch of the 2019-20 school year for Grant Wood AEA staff with our all agency meeting.

This year's meeting will have a slightly different twist from previous meetings. First, we'll welcome staff for coffee and registration between 8:00 a.m. -
9:00 a.m. in the school's main cafeteria and commons area. Staff can access this part of the building by entering through the high school's main entrance.

The entrance to Solon High School.

Then our annual meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m in the auditorium. Our program for the morning will include hearing about our programs and services from a variety of perspectives through a panel discussion. We'll also spend time celebrating some of our agency's successes from the past year.

The meeting will wrap up before lunch, allowing staff an opportunity to attend their regional meetings in the afternoon. Staff should watch for additional communications from their respective regions about additional meetings that may be scheduled for later that day. ( If you need additional information on regional meetings, please follow up with your supervisor.)

Please note:

  • Here are directions to Solon High School.

  • No food or beverages are allowed in the auditorium. Coffee is only available in the cafeteria and commons area.

  • At this time we anticipate that the meeting will last until approximately 11 a.m.

  • Staff who may need access to a private space or mother's room should contact
    Carla Green
    for information.

  • We have a limited number of tables available for agency organizations interested in having handouts or information available for staff during this meeting. Please contact
    Renee Nelson
    to arrange for a table.

  • We will send this information to the homes of staff who will be new to the agency, but we will not be mailing a letter to our current and returning staff members.

Also, as staff prepare their calendars and schedules, you are encouraged to review the scheduled PD-Palooza technology learning that’s available for GWAEA agency staff Aug. 15-16.
