Did You Know?

Information from GWAEA Business Services and Human Resources - Travel Policy - Hotel Lodging

Did you know?

We are introducing a new "Did You Know?" feature in The Bulletin Board, which will highlight information about agency services of interest to Grant Wood AEA staff.

The agency hotel listing, Travel Policy – Hotel Lodging in the Des Moines and Ames Areas, was updated on July 1, 2019. A few items to note:

  • The new negotiated rate with the Wildwood Lodge effective July 1, 2019 is $84 so that has also been approved as the new maximum rate for stays in the Des Moines area.

  • We have worked to add a couple of new options - Candlewood Suites in West Des Moines and Holiday Inn in Urbandale have agreed to discounted rates of $65 per night and will direct bill to the agency.

  • The State of Iowa has recently made changes to the state rate hotel listing, so we've added one additional property in Ankeny.

This document is linked in the Claims system, and it is available in the Business Services area of the website.Questions? Contact Michelle Bendickson, ext. 6707 or mbendickson@gwaea.org.
