Students to showcase STEM learning

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) learning will be the focus of the Corridor STEM Initiative Outside of School Program Showcase planned on Monday, May 14, 2012, 4:30-5:30 p.m., 2nd Floor Ballroom - Room 243, Iowa Memorial Union, The University of Iowa, Iowa City.

The showcase will feature presentations by students from the following schools demonstrating their STEM learning: All Saints School, Cedar Rapids Metro Catholic; Clear Creek Amana Middle School, Clear Creek Amana School District; Hiawatha Elementary, Cedar Rapids School District; Hills Elementary School, Iowa City CSD; HLV Elementary, HLV School District; Lemme and Grant Wood elementaries, Iowa City School District; Lincoln Elementary, Washington School District; Monticello Middle School, Monticello School District; Mount Vernon Middle School, Mount Vernon School District; Novak Elementary, Linn-Mar CSD (display only); Prairie Creek Intermediate and Prairie Point Middle School, College Community School District; Vernon Middle School, Marion Independent School District.

Brief remarks will be delivered by Dick Whitehead, superintendent, College Community Schools. The keynote speaker will be Jennifer Waskow, manager, Printed Circuit Board Design, Rockwell Collins.
