2013 Grant Wood AEA Parent/Student Transition Night Tuesday, April 9, 2013

Cedar Rapids...As students with disabilities approach adulthood, their parents often have many questions about what the future holds for their child. Some of those questions can be answered at Grant Wood AEA during the Parent/Student Transition Night, which will be held on Tuesday, April 9 from 6:00-8:30 p.m.

This event gives parents and students lots of information about independent living, life after high school, college requirements and assistance available for young people who need it. The event will offer 20 different break-out sessions with helpful information about living, learning and working in the area. Some of the presenters will include employers, representatives from support services and college admissions officers, plus there will be 17 different booths with additional information.
