Grant Wood AEA’s College for Kids kicks off annual summer learning

Sessions are scheduled for June 20-July 1 and July 11-22, 2016

There’s no summer sliding for these high achieving local students. Monday, June 20 kicks off a series of hands-on, experiential learning for more than 1,100 local students.

Grant Wood AEA’s annual summer education program, College For Kids, begins June 20 at Coe College. Classes will be held Monday through Friday during June and July.

Grant Wood AEA’s College for Kids is in its 29th year of offering summer advanced level academic and fine arts courses in the college setting to eligible students in gifted talented programs who have completed 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Through the Grant Wood AEA College for Kids experience, students are offered enriched and specialized curricula, and have the opportunity to further explore a hobby or a topic of interest not typically available in middle school general education.
