Mandatory Training

The Iowa AEA Online Learning System offers mandatory and non-mandatory training for educational staff across Iowa. This includes training for mandatory reporters of suspected child and dependent adult abuse, medication administration, right to know/hazardous chemicals, asbestos awareness, bloodborne pathogens, lockout/tagout, Section 504, Overview of State Requirements Regarding Seclusion and Restraint: Chapter 103, and Ethics for Iowa Educators, Level 1 Investigator training and many other mandatory and non-mandatory trainings.

Access to these trainings is available to all employees in participating districts for no cost with the exception of Mandatory Reporter training for licensed employees. The Mandatory Reporter training for licensed school employees carries a $25 fee.

If you have used this system since September, 2009, you have created a username and password. If you do not recall these, use the recover password feature on the system, contact your district system administrator for online training or the Grant Wood AEA PD office. Please use the "edit" feature to update your email, district information, etc.

Individual course passwords are no longer used. A district password is available from your district system administrator. Unauthorized use or distribution of passwords is prohibited.

If you are not employed at a school participating in the Iowa AEA Online Learning System, there is a $25 charge for all trainings. Use the following link to register and choose "Pay Customer" when you register.

Certificates

Upon successful completion of the trainings, you can print your own certificate of completion. Certificates for these trainings will not be mailed to you.
